It's very simple to say......."IT FEELS LIKE HOME"
It's 5 minutes to the beach and a 10 minute ride into Samara where you'll find what feels like a surf town in the 70's with little local shops, sodas ( lunch places ) surf shops and a variety of "ALL" of the above.
Your hosts Cinzia and Fiorenzo are great and make you feel at home the moment you arrive .
The rooms are CLEAN, WELL APPOINTED and very cozy. The upper room has A/C as well as a ceiling fan and small fridge.
Others have said the homemade breads and carrot cake are amazing, well guess what, they are, along with other surprises !!!!
Breakfast is offered each day with Tea, Coffee, Fresh Fruit, Homemade Jams for the homemade breads and with the beach and rain forest around you makes this little 2 room BuenaVista B&B Perfect.

Casa Buena Vista is a little private piece of paradise just a short walk from a beautiful, coconut palm lined, deserted beach! Cinzia and Fiorenzo are a sweet Italian couple who welcomed us like old friends and truly did pamper us. The little casa is romantic, very clean and a very comfortable bed. Cinzia had fresh flowers in our room every day! Cinzia made a delicious breakfast with fresh fruits, home made breads and muffins, served with her homemade marmalades that she served under their terrace. The yard is enchanting and perfectly manicured! We saw Howler Monkeys and McCaw Parrots from our little terrace. We only got to stay three nights and we didn’t want to leave! Pura Vida!!!

Oh . . . I wish I were there right now! Cinzia and Fiorenzo's home was relaxing, uplifted and healing (we both received excellent Shiatsu treatments from Fiorenzo). Together this kind, dependable, and engaging couple have created a well-tended, much loved gem right up the hill from the beautiful and sparsely populated beach, Playa Carrillo. I want everyone I love to go visit!

And all the glowing comments from the other reviewers are all true. Cinzia really does get up sometime before 5 a.m. to bake a mouth watering assortment of breads for her guests and presents these along with homemade marmalades and freshly cut fruit in an artful spread every morning in their outdoor rancho (covered area for relaxing). I felt so pampered. Our room and bathroom were always impeccably clean with fresh sprigs of flowers that appeared daily while we were out. Both Cinzia and Fiorenzo were warm and friendly when we were looking to engage in conversation and intuitively respectful of our private time as well (we were on our honeymoon)...............

Enjoy connecting with these lovely people in such a beautiful relaxing place!

Clean, Beautiful, Relaxing. Located at perfect walking distance from one of the most incredible beaches ever. Owned by the nicest couple. One that happens to be an amazing cook, and the other an incredible shiatsu practicioner. Amazing place and a great offordable price!

We spent 6 nights in this spotless, cozy, comfortable B & B and found our new home whenever we travel to the Samara/Carillo area which is often. Cinzia and Fiorenzo are 2 of the most down to earth people you'll ever meet and just know how to treat their guests. We felt safe, secure and pampered for the entire week, not to mention the room had a lot of the little comforts that those of us have that have traveled extensively in Costa Rica have come NOT to expect. This includes: hot water shower, fully functioning A/C, comfortable mattress AND excellent pillows, fantastic breakfast of homemade bread, marmalade and fresh DICED fruit and innkeepers that take pride in what they do. And I'd like to emphasize ABSOLUTELY SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. Walking distance to Carillo beach and a few good restaurants and a great place to watch the local bird life in the morning while doing a little Yoga on the patio before breakfast. Brian and Judy

Cinzia and Fiorenzo are the perfect hosts. Kind, attentive and respectful of your privacy. The place is spotless. Every morning we awoke to the sound of parrots, anticipating another one of the delicious homemade breakfasts. Carrillo is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica, and Casa Buenavista is the place to stay. We will be back!

We have stayed here twice for week-long vacations, and have loved both trips. Cinzia and Fiorenzo are fantastic, the food is good, and the location is ideal. Be sure to make an appointment for a massage with Fiorenzo!

Casa Buena Vista gets 5-Stars without a doubt! It was superb, private, quiet, super spotless and wanted to stay longer than our 5 days. The breakfast that is included was delicious and wanted to have it for dinner, too. I highly recommended to all who are visiting the Pacific Coast and do reserve as early as possible, so you will not be disappointed if they are booked. I hope my memories that I have of Casa Buena Vista stay with me as I reflect on Costa Rica.

Casa Buenavista was simply delightful. I can’t say enough about Cinzia and Fiorenzo’s hospitality. It made my vacation. I needed a quiet and peaceful place to stay while in Costa Rica and this was
just the perfect place. We stayed two weeks and never got bored.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, and each one has its own private bath, porch / deck overlooking Cinzia’s lush garden. Every morning Cinzia brings coffee and fresh fruit, delicious homemade bread and muffins or cookies to the table on the porch / deck. It is healthy and filling. There is an open-air pavilion, a ‘dojo’, on the property where Fiorenzo teaches karate; when he is not teaching, it is free for guests to use. I started my day every morning, stretching and doing yoga. (thinking: this is how I want to live!)
Playa Carrillo is small and quiet; the beach, just down the hill, is untouristy, a perfect crescent lined with palm trees. When it has a few more people on the weekends, they are mainly Ticos, and it is still uncrowded. We went kayaking with Popo- which we highly recommend! (an American, raised in St. Croix, with a lovely Tico wife and sweet, smart surfer kids). He gave a great tour down a river and onto a beach and then out into the open water and back to Playa Carrillo. He also teaches surfing. We went in to Playa Samara once or twice as we needed an ATM, but we preferred the peacefulness of Carrillo. Though small, there were a few good restaurants. Cinzia does prepare a few things in the afternoon upon request (for an extra cost). Her traditional bruschetta is not to be missed: so fresh and delicious. For us it was enough for a light dinner with beer. Fiorenzo is a trained shiatsu masseuse. That was a treat I let myself indulge in twice.
Cinzia and Fiorenzo have lots of information about the area and things to do, and about Costa Rica in general; they have lived in Costa Rica for over 20years. They helped us decide what other places we might like to see.
